Great Ormond Street Hospital

In the summer holidays my best friend Leah and I did a sponsored swim for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We did it as part of operation lifestyle run by Humberside Police.  Operation Lifestyle is run by the police to get young people involved with the local community and keep them busy during the summer holidays.

We set off early to the local leisure centre and started our swim straight away, our aim was to do 100 lengths each swimming. We did well and reached our goal in five hours (Including breaks). We raised £170 for the hospital which is enough to make a few children smile.  I have experienced the Great Ormond Street Hospital magic and I think it is an amazing cause and deserves all the credit it gets.

A High energy lunch!

Me and Leah - very tired after finishing!
