Beat Bullying Big March 2012!

Today I took part in a campaign with a difference, we matched with our keyboards through the virtual world by taking part in the beatbullying big march 2012! It's simple: everyone created an account and their own avatar and followed the route! The march ran from 8am to 8pm and was an amazing thing to see. The websites that took part allowed beatbullying to put a virtual path along the bottom of their websites, here you could see all the people marching. Not once was it quiet on any of the sites! Beatbullying have provided many resources for bloggers, tweeters, facebookers ect. So here is what they say:

Beatbullying's Big March 2012 is the world's first virtual, global march for children's right to be safe. Tens of thousands of virtual marchers will cross the websites of the world's biggest brands. They will speak with one voice, and call on the UN to enshrine explicitly in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, "The right of every child to be safe from bullying, violence and the fear of violence by their peers as well as from abuse by adults." Register now at www.beatbullying.org/bigmarch
So that's what it's all about: A brand new human right against bullying. Wouldn't that be great?! I also got a groovy badge for my blog to say I took part :)
I am planning on raising money for beatbullying in the near future to help with this campaign, because I think it's about time something was done about bullying. 974,175 online supporters took part- an incredible result. Together we can beat bullying!
